Located on the Corner of Birkdale Rd and Agnes St (Opposite Birkdale Train Station) IGA Birkdale is independently owned and operated. As a member of the IGA buying group we have the means to bring you more savings through our Price Match Promise, competitive day to day pricing and terrific specials all with extended trading hours.
Our Community
IGA has a proud track record of giving back to the community. Through IGA’s Community Chest a percentage of sales of particular products are donated to worthy local charities and community groups in Birkdale and surrounding areas. We also support local community groups, clubs and schools by fundraising in store, sausage sizzles and other initiatives. Our team are passionate about fresh produce and wherever possible we source our produce locally to ensure the best available product at a great price for our customers. Because we are a family owned business we have low overheads and we don’t answer to shareholders.
Every Market Day our team hand select quality produce that provides excellent value for money for our customers.
This means we can not only ensure our produce is always the freshest available, we can also make sure our range suits what our customers are looking for and all at great everyday low prices.
We follow a simple ‘farm to shop process’ that means produce makes it from growers to our store in the shortest possible time frame so we can guarantee the freshness! Like all our fresh products we stand behind the IGA 200% Fresh Guarantee!

Deli
South East Queensland region is not only famous for its produce but also our artesian produced goods. That’s why you will always find a huge selection of the very best available on our shelves. From the iconic brands to the lesser known but fantastically tasty offerings of areas such as The Hinterlands and beyond, we search high and low to offer our customers the very best of all things local. Of course you will also find a good range of your favourite international products.
Our Deli stocks a range of cheeses as well as prosciutto, salamis, real ham off the bone, and delicious marinated olives. There are also a multitude of shelf lines including pastas, cooking oils, sweets, gluten free and a large range organic produce.
Don’t forget our deli staff are also food connoisseurs! Planning a day out? Have a special occasion or just feeling peckish? Deli hampers and platters are also a specialty. We can make them for all occasions. Drop in and see us, or give our deli team a call – because many delicatessen lines are seasonal it’s best to discuss the options!

Our deli staff also make delicious rolls for lunch (it’s a good idea to pre-order) – people have been known to travel far and wide just to try them! Our take-away lunch menu consists of the most delicious rolls stacked with ham, cheese, salami & antipasti.
We also have sausage rolls, a variety of pies, whole BBQ chickens with our secret continental stuffing & a selection of pizzas ready to go.
Meat
Our meat section is managed by staff who are passionate about the quality of our product and are very particular. Their dedication ensures our meat is always fresh and tender!

Our staff ensure our meat cabinets are always well stocked with a range of cuts from budget to gourmet and everything in between. We also have a great range of marinated kebabs, stir fry, diced and fresh ready to heat and eat products. We also stock a range of duck, organic chicken and many other products you just don’t find everywhere.
Our convenient hours mean that you no longer have to resort to take away if you’re late home from work as tender steak, chicken breast, pork and lamb is always available!
